Mystery shrouds death of domestic help

Doctors declared her dead immediately after her admission to the hospital.

The dead was identified as Sheuly, 15, of Begumganj in Noakhali.

Her employer Nurul Afsar Manik at the hospital said Sheuly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of a toilet at his brother-in-law Rokonuddin Dulal's house at south Paikpara under Kafrul Police Station yesterday morning.

But police in its inquest report said there are marks of bruises in several parts of her body, including her private parts.

Police detained Manik and Dulal at the hospital in connection with the mysterious death of Sheuly.
