National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign December-2005 will be observed in the country today highlighting the need of the vitamin in protecting child health and fulfilling nutrition requirement.
A high-powered vitamin 'A' capsule will be given to the children all over the country during the campaign. Children under the age limit of 24-59 months will also be fed an anti-worm tablet.
Scarcity of 'Vitamin' causes many health problems to the children as they can suffer from night-blindness and blindness, and may even cause premature death.
