Nat'l workshop on local govt today
A national workshop on local government, organised by the Bangladesh Union Parishad Forum (BUPF) in association with the USAID, will be held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city today.
The participants will discuss the issues of financing and financial management of the union parishad and the role of UPs in providing education and healthcare facilities at the local level.
The workshop is aimed at making realistic recommendations for the BUPF, which will help implement the suggestions made at the divisional level workshops of the Forum held in June and July.
