Dr Mosharraf said the government has given support to some hospitals aiming at expanding cardiac treatment facilities throughout the country.

With director of the National Institute for Cardio-Vascular Diseases in the chair, the function was also addressed by Principal of Begum Khaleda Zia Medical College Prof A K M Azizul Haq, Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) Secretary General Prof Z A M Zahid Hossain, Dr Shahidul Alam and Dr A N A Kamrul Hasan.
