Newborn found abandoned on DU campus

Police recovered the baby girl, which was found lying on a flower tub adjacent to the wall of the dormitory, at around 5:00pm after locals informed them hearing the girl crying.

She was later sent to the Paediatrics Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

As soon as the doctors said that the condition of the girl is quite all right, few people expressed their interest to get the baby.

Police at last handed over the baby to Rehana Begum of Kamrangir Char until its mother is found.
