Night guard killed in Moulvibazar

According to the manager of the tea garden, unknown miscreants mercilessly beat two night guards of the houses of manager and assistant manager of the garden on Saturday night, when the night guards were on the duty.

Hearing the hue and cry, people of the garden including the manager and assistant manager rushed to the spot and found the two night guards lying on earth with serious injuries.

They were sent to Sylhet Medical College Hospital yesterday morning, where Koishukra Urang, 55, night guard of the assistant manager's house succumbed to his injuries.

Condition of Mongal Munda, 35, another night guard, remains critical.

Kulaura police said there might be a dispute on garden that led to killing.

Mahbubur Rahman, assistant manager of the garden, filed a case in this regard.
