No progress in Jabbar murder case
Police yet to arrest any accused criminal in the case of Jabbar Ali, an employee of Latif Commercial Agency at Green road in the city, as of last night.
The Investigation Officer (IO) Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhanmondi Police Station, told The Daily Star last night that unknown extortionists made phone calls to the shop in the days before Jabbar had been killed and demanded money from the shop employees.
He suspects that the extortionists killed Jabbar as shop employees refused to give them money.
