Noakhali Jubo Dal man killed by rivals
A Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal activist was shot and stabbed to death by his rivals following a feud over domination at Begumganj here last night.
The dead was identified as Alamgir, 27, a Jubo Dal activist of West Alaiyapur in Begumaganj Police Station.
A gang of armed cadres of his rival Bashar group fired on Alamgir when he was having tea at a tea stall in front of the Hatuabari Mosque.

Later, Alamgir's supporters put up barricade on the Laxmipur-Choumohoni highway for more than an hour protesting his killing. A tense situation was prevailing in the area.
Police rushed to the spot and asked the protesters to withdraw the barricade but could not bring the situation under control until filing of this report at 10:30pm.
