Induprova Bhowmik, mother of journalist Barun Bhowmik, died of a massive heart attack at her house at Dakkhinpara in Savar on Friday night at the age of 99.
She left behind three sons and three daughters. Induprova's eldest son Barun Bhowmik is a senior reporter of the daily Al-Amin and executive committee member of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).
Wife of late schoolteacher Shailendranath Bhowmik Induprova was cremated at their family crematorium in Sadarpur village under Pathalia union of Savar upazila.
