Oikya Parishad demands release of 9 youths
Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikya Parishad yesterday demanded immediate release of nine youths arrested on charge of attacking a garment factory in Chittagong.
Local leaders of the Parishad announced that they would put up a barricade in front of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) office on June 12 if the youths are not released by June 11.
They will also stage a sit-in in front of the CMP office on June 15.

Police arrested the nine youths from Pashusala residential area on Thursday on charge of attacking Clifton Apparel factory.
They are Subrata Shil, Mithu Shil, Sajal Dev, Liton Mitro, Nanda Kishore Shil, Subrata Dhar, Ovi Kumar Das and Sujit.
