One killed, 5 SSC examinees injured in Jessore road accident
A man was killed and nine others, including five SSC examinees, were injured in a road accident at Muroli crossing near the town yesterday.
The dead was identified as Rabiul, 35, a van-puller.
Police said the mishap took place at about 2:00pm when a pick-up hit a rickshaw van from behind, killing the van-puller Rabiul on the spot and injuring nine others.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The injured were rushed to Jessore General Hospital in critical condition. Of the injured, Ruma and Mina were sent to Dhaka as their condition deteriorated.
On information, Kotwali police rushed to the spot and sent the body to hospital morgue for autopsy.
After appearing at the SSC examination, four girls and a boy along with others were returning to their village homes by the van.
A case was filed with police.
