PM has closed door of dialogue: AL

They said the prime minister closed the door of dialogue on reform proposals by putting names of war criminals and patrons of militancy in the discussion panel.

They further said the government will be forced to accept the reform proposals placed by the 14-party opposition combine.

They were speaking at a protest meeting organised by Dhaka City AL at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city yesterday protesting continuous corruption of the government and price hike of essentials.

AL Presidium Member Abdur Razzak MP said the residents of Shanir Akhra at Demra in the city chased the local MP Salaudding on Friday as he failed to meet their basic demands of water and power and now it's time to chase the ministers and finally the government.

He urged people of the country to unite to chase the Khaleda-Nizami government as they failed to fulfil the basic needs of the people.

Razzak asserted that Khaleda-Nizami coalition government would fall from power after the opposition's Dhaka siege programme on June 5.

AL presidium member Tofael Ahmed said the current population growth rate is 1.48 but the new voter list shows the voter growth at 4.84, which clearly proves that there are millions of fake voters in the new list.

He said the government has not made any development in the last four and half years, rather the ministers and MPs made huge black money by looting public funds and that is why Kansat and Demra tragedies are taking place in the country.

AL Leaders Motia Chowdhury, Obaidul Quader, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Advocate Sahara Khatun, Mukul Bosh and Abul Hossian addressed the rally presided over by Acting President of City AL Omar Ali.
