'Poet Shamsur a bright star in Bangla literature'
Speakers at a discussion here yesterday said poet Shamsur Rahman is a bright star in Bangla literature and his contribution to literature and journalism is unquestionable and immeasurable.
He also fought against Pakistan with his mighty pen, they added.
The Citizens' Condolence Committee on Shamsur Rahman organised the programme on DC Hill premises.

The discussion was chaired by social scientist Dr Anupam Sen while poet Syed Shamsul Haq, Dr Anisuzzaman, poet Nirmalendu Goon, Dr Mahbubul Hoque, Dr Moniruz-zaman, poet Abul Momen, poet Swapan Sen and poet Arun Das Gupta were present.
