Power crisis to worsen
The ongoing power crisis will take a turn for worse in coming days as the authorities will shut down a number of power generating units for emergency maintenance, a PDB press release said.
The Power Development Board (PDB) press release, issued yesterday, said a number of power generating units remained operational during the recent World Cup Football matches despite their need to overhaul.
The country generated 3,400 megawatts during the peak hours yesterday against the demand of 4,100 MW, the press release added.
