Prisoner dies of cardiac arrest at Joypurhat jail
A prisoner undergoing life imprisonment for murder in Joypurhat District Jail died of a massive cardiac arrest on Thursday night.
Jailer M Nazrul Islam said Nuruzzaman, 61, son of late Tofir Uddin of village Dhatalipur in Joypurhat, suddenly fell sick at about 8:30pm. He was rushed to Joypurhat District Modernised Hospital by the jail authorities.
After examining the patient, the doctors declared him dead.
