The one-member body formed by the education ministry to probe Monday's incident of assault on journalists at Technical Education Board (TEB) in Agargaon submitted its report yesterday with recommendation to remove the chairman and secretary of the TEB from their posts.

Joint secretary (technical and madrasa) Humayun Khalid submitted the report to Education Adviser Ayub Qadri with the recommendation, as the allegation against the TEB chairman Idris Ali and Secretary Mohammad Shahjahan was found true, sources in the education ministry said.

The chairman, secretary and a few officials of the TEB on Monday assaulted senior reporter of The New Age Siddiqur Rahman Khan and staff reporter of The Daily Janakantha Mostaq Ahmed and confined them in a room for an hour for publishing reports on corruption of the board.
