Prof Nilufar passes away
Professor Dr Nilufar Aftabi, an eminent gynaecologist, passed away due to kidney and heart ailments at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the city yesterday at the age of 70.
She left behind her husband, two sons and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Prof Nilufar was wife of former president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and former advisor of caretaker government Prof Dr M A Majed.

They prayed for peace and salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
President of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Dr AKM Azizul Hoque and secretary general Dr AZM Zahid Hossain also expressed deep shock at the death of Dr Aftabi.
