Psychosocial care confce ends
On the second day, the speakers reiterated that the children who suffered sexual abuse and exploitation or fell victim to trafficking badly need psychosocial support.
Save the Children, Sweden-Denmark (SCSD) and Psychosocial Support Group jointly organised the conference attended by psychologists, counsellors and individuals involved in psychosocial support programmes.

They suggested forming a platform styled, 'National level working committee on psychosocial care' with representatives from government and non-government organisations, universities and other academic institutions, administration and the media.
The counsellors also adopted a five-year action plan.
Country Representative of SCSD Olof Risberg stressed the need for intensive discussion on the issues, evaluation of counsellors' activities, training programme for the psychosocial helpers and developing a website.
Prof Roquia Begum, department of clinical psychology, Dhaka University, Farida Akhtar, chief executive of Inner force, Shekh Zadi Rezina Parvin, counsellor (CDC-DSH), and Abul Khaer of DISA also spoke while Kamal UA Chowdhury, Selina Ahmed and Shamsul Alam Bokul moderated the programme.
