Speaking at a press conference league President A F M Bahauddin Nasim said ruling party cadres are killing its leaders one after another to suppress just demands of people.

To thwart the ongoing movement for power and water the BNP-men loyal to Salahuddin MP had been threatening them for last few days, he added.

He said as Kalu, Jamal and Tanvir tried to stop BNP-men taking toll from the locals and running illegal business in the area, they had been their targets for a long time.

League General Secretary Pankaj Debnath, Vice-president Moula Mohammad Abu Kausar, Joint Secretaries Matiur Rahman Moti, Saidul Karim Mintu and Jahangir Ahmed, Organising Secretary Belal Sarwar Mamun and Kalu's mother were also present at the press conference.
