Punishment to killers demanded
Teachers and students of geology and mining department of Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday took out a silent procession and held a rally on the campus demanding arrest and punishment to killers of Prof S Taher Ahmed.
Addressing the rally in front of the department, Chairman Prof Syed Shamsuddin Ahmed said they will continue to hold processions and rallies on the campus every Saturday and Tuesday to press home their demand for the arrest of the killers.
He said teachers feel insecure on the campus as they do not have any security.
