Rahman, Bangla Bhai not brought to Bagerhat as court ordered

JMB 'ehsars' Hafez Mahmud and Hasan Ali Mollah were not also brought to the court as accused in the same case.

Bagerhat Superintendent of Police M Mostafa Kamal said the four accused could not be produced in the court today due to security risk. A team of Bagerhat police will quiz the four JMB militants shortly at the TFI in Dhaka.

Bagerhat Sadar police had submitted to court charge sheet in the case on November 17 last year accusing 11 Islamist militants including Rahman and Bangla Bhai. The district and sessions judge sent the charge sheet to the magistrate's court, ordering fresh investigation into the case.

First Class Magistrate Sabur Hossain issued an order on March 8 to produce Rahman, Bangla Bhai, Hafez Mahmud and Hasan Ali Molla before the court on Monday.
