Rajshahi Edible Oil Traders' Association (REOTA) will begin an indefinite strike today protesting harassment by the members of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR).

They said that BDR members often forcibly take their oil laden trucks from Dhaka and Chittagong with valid documents to Battalion headquarters and return those after three or more days stealing some oil.

No traders will sell or import edible oil until the harassment stops, said REOTA General Secretary Sekendar Ali at a press conference yesterday.

President Omar Ali, former president Sujauddoula, Traders' Alliance President Mosarraf Hossain Akhunji were present at the conference.
