Reforms in EC, CG a must for free, fair polls

After the meeting AL leader Asaduzzaman Noor told reporters that repression on minorities and opposition workers, rise of fundamentalism in Bangladesh, international terrorism and the coming elections also came up at the hour-long meeting for discussion.

Noor said the goodwill ambassador expressed concern over human rights violation in Bangladesh and assured of his organisation's all-out cooperation in holding free and fair elections here.

AL General Secretary Abdul Jalil MP and Syed Abul Hossain MP were present at the meeting.
