Resignation of CEC demanded
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Rajshahi University unit and city unit staged a demonstration at Shaheeb Bazar Zero Point yesterday demanding resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and two other election commissioners to pave the way for a free and fair election.
At a rally, they blasted CEC saying CEC has lost moral rights to remain in his post as the verdict of the Supreme Court went against him.
They also threatened the alliance government that they would resist any conspiracy over the post of the president.
