Rickshaw van puller stabbed to death in Keraniganj
A rickshaw van puller was killed and two others injured early yesterday during indiscriminate chopping at West Barishur Muslimbad area under Keraniganj in Dhaka.
The deceased was identified as Aslam, 35, son of Rahman Bepari of Baliatali under Muladi thana in Barisal.
The injured persons, Shukur and Bashir, were rushed to Mitford Hospital in critical condition.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Police said the incident occurred at 2.30 am when the victims tried to stop Taher, 35, from swooping his wife Sharifa, 30, with sharp weapon demanding dowry at his father-in-laws house.
Police recovered the body and sent to the hospital for autopsy. A case was filed with Keraniganj Police Station in this connection.
