'Robber' stabs woman
A woman was critically injured as a youth stabbed her allegedly in an attempt to commit robbery in Gulshan in the capital yesterday.
Sultana Bidura, 55, mother of ATN BANGLA journalist Fahmida Sultana and resident of multi-storey Suvastu Nazar Valley, is receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Hearing her shouts, neighbours rushed to her flat and broke in to the house. They alleged Minto, 22, a sanitary worker, attacked her with a sharp weapon.

Police sources said Minto claimed he hacked Sultana losing his tamper, as she paid him less for carrying out a repair.
