Robbery at night coach in Jhenidah
A gang of robbers looted cash and valuables worth over Tk 1 lakh from the passengers of a night coach after stabbing the driver and two passengers in Jhenidah on Thursday night.
Sources said the robbers travelling in the guise of passengers first stabbed driver Monoranjan Dey and took control of the Benapole-bound coach when it was crossing Jhenidah. The bus of the Pacific Paribahan was coming from Mymensingh.
The gang also stabbed passengers Shafique and Liton and decamped with the booty when the bus reached Kaliganj Bazar.
