Samad Azad's anniversary of birth today
The 80th birth anniversary of former foreign minister and Awami League leader Abdus Samad Azad will be observed today, family sources said.
This will be his first birth anniversary observance after his death on April 27 last year.
To mark the day, a milad mahfil will be held at his son Azizus Samad Dawn's Dhanmondi residence (H-61, Rd-12/A) after Asr prayers.

Samad Azad had undergone medical treatment in India but became ill again after returning home and remained in hospital from February 2005 until his death.
Azad was born in Bhurakhali village, Sunamganj district. He was a senior presidium member of Awami League till his death.
