Schoolgirl abducted by JCD leader
A gang of criminals allegedly led by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman of Kalapara MB College abducted a student of class ten of Kalapara Girl's High School in Patuakhali on Friday evening.
Police are yet to arrest the linchpin and rescue the girl, daughter of local businessman Humayun Kabir. One Nur Elahi,23, was arrested in this connection.
Family sources said the girl was abducted at gunpoint from her house at Natun Bazar area of Kalapara Municipality at around 7:00pm.

She was kidnapped as she refused to accept a proposal for love by Mostafiz, family sources said.
