Singaporean president visits Iajuddin
Nathan inquired about the health condition of Iajuddin and assured him of continuing to provide "all kinds of cooperation" during his stay in Singapore for treatment, said an official release.
Iajuddin Ahmed thanked the Singaporean government, physicians, nurses and others for helping and giving him treatment with sincerity and care.

Iajuddin invited his Singaporean counterpart to visit Bangladesh.
Recalling the same invitation extended to him by Prime Minister Khaleda Zia during her visit to Singapore last year, Nathan said that he is thinking of visiting Bangladesh soon at a convenient time.
He wished Iajuddin early and complete recovery and invited him to visit Singapore later on.
The Singaporean president spent about half an hour with Iajuddin.
"The Bangladesh president talked with his Singaporean counterpart sitting in a chair and saw Nathan off by standing without anybody's assistance," said the release.
His wife Dr Anwara Begum, expert physician Dr Maurice Choo, Singapore High Commissioner to Bangladesh Verghese Mathews and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Munshi Faiz Ahmed were present on the occasion.
