Six die in city incidents

Ramna police recovered the body of Soma Akhter, 20, a housewife, from Nayatola after she had committed suicide hanging from the shower pipe of her bathroom, Dhaka Medical College morgue sources said. The reason behind her death could not be known immediately.

Shireen Akhter, 20, another housewife, committed suicide hanging from the ceiling fan at Tularbagh, Mirpur area at around 10:45pm following feuds with her husband. The police recovered the body after breaking down the door.

Tanzila Akhter,13, who hails from Dulipara under Turag upazila, killed herself at around 9:00pm hanging from a fan at her house the same night.

Family sources said she died after an altercation with her mother.

Meanwhile, police recovered the body of Abdul Qader, a security guard at Aziz Mohollah at Mohammadpur, from Suhrawardi Hospital.

Medical sources said locals brought him to the hospital in unconscious state.

Another unidentified body was found at Badda with hands tied with rope.

Police suspect that miscreants left the body after killing.

All the bodies have been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.

Meanwhile, a grocer succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the city last night, hospital sources said.

The grocer Iskander Ali Bhuiyan Jewel, 38, was stabbed indiscriminately in front his residence at Banasree under Khilgaon Police Station at 12:30am yesterday by the unidentified miscreants, say's victim's brother Ahmed Ali Bhuiyan last night.
