'Stop abuse of children in schools'
They also demanded a uniform education system for all, a secured life and a secular Bangladesh for their well-being.
The children from different parts of the city formed a human chain at Shahbagh to raise their voice. The Kendriyo Khelaghar Asar organised the programme to mark the National Education Day.
"We don't want a single child to be deprived of education. Education should not be treated as a commodity, but the present system has several tracks such as English-medium schools, madrasas and cadet colleges, which create discrimination among the students," said Lelin Chowdhury, general secretary of Kendriyo Khelaghar Asar.
Khelaghar Secretary Rezaul Kabir, Education Secretary Mokhlesur Rahman Sagar and Khelaghar city committee President Dilshad Khanam also joined the programme.
Khelaghar Asar has been working for the development of children since 1952 through its various programmes.
