'Supply more gas, power to N-region'
Speakers at a meeting underscored the need for supplying more gas, electricity and coal to the northern region of the country to set up industries and agro-based industries to create jobs for huge number of people.
Uttarbanga Janakalyan Samity organised the meeting at IEB Dhaka Centre recently.
Samity Chief Adviser and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) former Vice Chancellor Dr Anwar Hossain said gas, electricity and coal-based industries should be set up for improving the lifestyle of the people in northern region.
