Take stand in favour of Bangladesh

JCD urges Hasina

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) yesterday urged the Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina to take measurers to solve the problems between Bangladesh and India.

The JCD, student wing of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party, made the call at a rally on the Dhaka University campus yesterday.

JCD President Azizul Baree Helal urged Hasina to take stand in favour of Bangladesh and try to resolve the border, Farakka and other problems with India.

He said politics of the Bangladesh Chhatra League is based on terrorism and criminal activities.

The JCD leaders said the 'so called Tuesday Group' proposal is against the country's sovereignty and image. They welcomed the government for not accepting the proposal of 'so called Tuesday Group'.

JCD Senior Vice President Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Shahidul Islam Babul, Mostafa Khan Safori, Abdul Matin, Abu Bakkor Siddique, DU unit President Hasan Mamun and General Secretary Saiful Islam Firoz also spoke at the rally.
