Teachers demand 100pc salary from govt
Leaders of Shikkhak Karmachari Oikya Jote, a platform of non-government teachers and employees, urged the government to immediately meet their 10-point demand including 100 per cent salary from the government exchequer.
Their other demands include house rent, festival allowance, increment, health allowance and other facilities.
They were speaking at a press conference at the National Press Club in the city yesterday.

They will also submit memorandums to the members of the parliament across the country on June 18 and to the deputy commissioners of every district on June 20.
Md Selim Bhuiyan, chief coordinator of the platform, read out a written statement at the press conference while other coordinators including Kazi Abdur Razzak, Chowdhury Mugishuddin Mahmud and Moulana MA Latif were present.
