Three secretaries transferred
The government yesterday transferred three secretaries and extended the contractual appointment of another one.
Secretary of the Local Government Division AHM Abul Kashem was made a member of the Planning Commission. Water Resources Secretary SM Zahurul Islam replaced him.
Rajuk Chairman Shahid Alam was transferred to the Ministry of Water Resources as acting secretary. Newly promoted Md Fazlur Rahman was made the secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Food.

Meanwhile, Dhaka College Principal Mariam Begum who is to go on LPR (leave preparatory to retirement) on January 8, has been appointed to the same post on a two-year contract.
