TIB concerned
Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) yesterday expressed grave concern over Supreme Court's stay order on the candidates' obligation of apprising the Election Commission (EC) with eight types of information including the candidate's educational qualification, source of income and involvement with criminal cases, says a press release.
The press release said that the stay order is like snatching people's right to franchise away because all these information are necessary for choosing the most competent candidate through elections.
