Titu flown to Bangkok for treatment

He left Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport by a Thai flight at 11:35am.

In Bangkok, Titu will undergo treatment at Bamroongrad Hospital.

Bangladesh Cricket Control Board will bear the cost of the treatment and other related expenses.

Titu's uncle Tamal Chowdhury, also a sports reporter and BCCB Member Advocate Shaheen Aftabur Reza are accompanying him.

Titu, a photo journalist of local daily Purbokone, received critical head injury in the police attack on the first day of the second test between Bangladesh and Australia at Chittagong divisional stadium on April 16.

The media bashing by police that also left at least twenty other journalists, six critically, drew flak from local and international media as well as different organisations.
