Tk 1 lakh DU compensation for Mobarak's family
Dhaka University (DU) authorities will compensate Tk one lakh to the family of Mobarak Hossain, a first year student of the Department of Management Studies, who died on Monday following a road accident at Shahbagh in the city.
DU authorities sent a letter to the Mayor of Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) to construct an underpass at Shahbagh intersection as soon as possible and to construct foot over bridges or underpasses at Nilkhet and Chankharpul intersections, says a press release.
The authorities also requested Police administration and DCC to maintain traffic regulations at Shahbagh intersection, to punish the driver responsible for the accident and realise compensation from the bus owner as well as owners' association.
