Tk 286.81 cr KCC budget announced

Mayor Tayeb announced the budget at the Zia Hall Seminar Room with Chief Executive Officer Md Mokhlesur Rahman in the chair.

All female ward commissioners boycotted the meeting protesting Mayor's politicisation of KCC administration and discriminating attitude. Only four out of 31 male ward commissioners were present in the meeting.

City Mayor termed the new budget development- oriented and a surplus one that proposes no new tax.

He denied allegation of discriminating between male and female ward commissioners.

He said the ongoing movement of the female ward commissioners is politically motivated.

He also accused the government of giving no allocation for implementation of development projects.
