Tornado hits Patuakhali villages: 50 houses damaged
Over 50 houses, one school and a mosque, were damaged in two villages in Patuakhali as a powerful tornado hit the area yesterday afternoon.
The tornado hit at 3:50pm and lasted only two minutes over Balai Kathi village damaging over 30 houses. A jame-mosque of the village was also damaged.
At south Sehakathi village, 10 shops, five houses and a schoolhouse were damaged. A wooden boat also sank in Sehakathi River.
