Transfer of case to Speedy Tribunal demanded
Khulna Metropolitan Union of Journalists (KMUJ) yesterday submitted two memorandums to the prime minister and the state minister for home affairs demanding steps to transfer journalist Belal murder case to the Speedy Trial Tribunal of Khulna.
The Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Md Elias Hossain and the Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Khan Saeed Hasan received the memorandums separately from KMUJ president Mohammod Anisuzzaman.
The memorandum said the trial of journalist Belal murder case is being delayed and the journalists of Khulna will not tolerate any attempt to delay the process of fair trial.
