The memorial meeting was organised by National Forum of Organisations Working with Disabled (NFOWD) at Social Service Bhaban auditorium at Agargaon in the city.

Speaking on the occasion Munira Rahman, executive director of Acid Survivors' Foundation, said, " We should not confine ourselves only to memorial meeting, rather we should try to fulfil the dream of Nasreen for a balanced society."

Terming Nasreen as a 'mentor' for ActionAid, Shahmin Jahan, new country director of the organisation, said she dedicated herself to the cause of challenged people, acid victims and gender equality.

Visually challenged Nasrin Jahan, a receptionist from HelenKeler International, said, "She was an exceptional character of honesty, courage and sincerity who wanted to create a platform for us."

Chairperson of policy and legal affairs of NFOWD Monsur Ahmed Chowdhury and its President Khandaker Zahurul Alam, Deputy Director of Impact Foundation Bangladesh Christina M Rojario and Director General of social service directorate Hafizul Islam Mia also spoke on the occasion.
