Bodies of two Bangladeshi nationals killed by Indians four days ago were returned at a flag meeting between the Border Security Force (BSF) of India and Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) at Akhaura yesterday evening.

Mozammel Haq Bhuiyan, 35, and Abdur Razzak, 32, of Kuripaika border village were taken to Indian side on a false pretext and killed by the Indians on Friday. Villagers said the action was revenge for the killing of a BSF officer on Bangladesh side several months ago.

Sources close to the flag meeting said the BDR refused to accept bodies of two other victims of the incident--Alam and Sujit Sarker--as they were Indian nationals.
