Two get life for abduction

The convicts are Shamshu Beg, 35, son of Fulmia of Khamarbila village and Zotish Kumar, 30, son of Hazra of village Malidanga under sadar upazila. Both the convicts have been absconding since the starting of the case.

According to the prosecution, the convicts abducted Rikta Khanom, 10, a student of Durgapur Dhakhil Mazidia Madrasa and daughter of Zinder Beg of village Dumurtala under same upazila on July 16, 2003.

Hadier Rahman Beg, brother of the victim, filed a case with sadar police station accusing the two. The police also submitted chargesheets against them.

The judge pronounced the verdict after hearing and examining the witness on the both sides.
