Two killed in road accidents
BSS from Narayanganj adds: One person was killed and two others were injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway under Siddhirganj police station in the early hours of yesterday.
The accident occurred at 5:00am when a Dhaka-bound covered van from Noakhali rammed a standing truck at Simrail bus stand.

The driver and helper of the covered van, whose identity could not be known immediately, were also injured in the crash.
Police seized the covered van.
The body was sent to General Hospital for autopsy.
Our correspondent from Satkhira adds: A teenage boy was killed in a road accident yesterday on Shyamnagar-Munshiganj road at Shyamnagar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Firoz Ahmed, 14, son of Mominuddin of village Khanpur in Shyamnagar upazila.
Quoting local people police said the bus ran him over near Khanpur Eidgah when he was crossing the road, leaving him dead on the spot.
