Two pvt security guards held for wearing police uniform
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two private security guards at Gulshan in the city yesterday as their uniforms are very similar to the uniform of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The elite force picked up Yunus Ali, 30, and Sirajul Islam, 32, who were guarding the house of Jamuna Group Chairman Nurul Islam Babul at Gulshan, at around 12:30pm.
They were arrested on charge of wearing police uniform.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. During interrogation, the guards said they are employees of Al Arafah Security Services and working as the security guards at Babul's residence, Gulshan police said.
Jamuna Group authorities said Al Arafah Security Services provided the uniforms to the guards.
A case was filed in this connection with Gulshan police.
