'Unite to topple govt'

He was addressing a reception accorded to him under the auspices of Khulna Nagorik Committee on Saturday.

Held at the Hadis park, the reception was presided over by Principal Wahidur Rahman and was addressed by wife of Qazi Faruque Shahana Ahmed, Advocate Firoj Ahmed, Khulna City Corporation Ward Commissioners Memory Sufia Rahman, Amena Halim Baby and Sheikh Abul Kashem, freedom fighter Sheikh Abdul Barakat, Dr Purnendu Gain and Nur Mohammad Moral and Kazi Wahiduzzaman.

Criticising the present government, Qazi Faruque called for bringing down fall of the government to save democracy, values of liberation war and ensure good governance. He said due to misrules and corruption of the government, the country has reached the point of total ruination.
