US envoy calls on Tariqul
US Ambassador Patricia A Butenis made a courtesy call on Environment and Forest Minister Tariqul Islam at the latter's office in the city yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed on the issues of afforestation, particularly social affforestation, eco-tourism and environment.
The minister mentioned various programmes undertaken by the government to improve afforestation and environment and eco-tourism. The US envoy praised the government steps in this regard.
