VCs' body demands judicial probe
Association of Universities of Bangladesh (AUB) demanded judicial probe and exemplary punishment to the people responsible for vandalising and setting fire to the official residence of the Vice-Chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
In a statement sent to newspaper offices yesterday, AUB, an organisation of the vice chancellors of public universities, expressed concern over the May 14 incident where SUST student Mosharraf Hossain died following police firing on the demonstrating students over clashes with the students of Jalalabad Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital.
The association urged all to maintain discipline, stability and educational atmosphere in all universities.
